Sure it was a joke, but I think all stereotypes a good joke. I wouldn't like to be look at according to half of the German stereotypes about Poles, but I also don't think we can really live up to the second half. I.e. the Germans expect Polish films to be all extraordinary, and masterpieces. Well, I'm afraid they can be disappointed much too often. (However, I silently hope they never see many of our films, lol).

Everyone has some picture of who we are, and who the others are. And so we came with Tina to our conclusion, and we'll stick to that even if you disagree, lol. Lizzy is open, truthful, loyal, passionate in her battles, and a bit naive, but can also laugh at herself, definitely enough to be a Pole. And Darcy, well, the man keeps his emotions to himself all the time, yet he's ready to act whenever it's needed. If you disagree with the picture then you never saw the Fins who were refused tea for several following days in France, lol. That the French don't drink tea doesn't mean that they don't drink it usually, it means they never drink it! And one never knows how much one loves tea until one is refused it. We were at an international youth camp in France. The Fins fought a battle for all of us in a really impressive manner. The French were speechless, but from the following day on we were served our tea! Although later that day they were a bit ashamed by their outburst and losing their emotions. And so they needed the Poles to sooth their feeling of guilt. I'd say it must be a whole country of Darcys, lol.

Oh, ok it was "dream" not "sleep" in the original, and in our story. My mistake.

Frank Zappa - I cannot say I know all his records, but that's because he certainly recorded too many, lol. My favourite LP Over-Nite Sensation where Tina Turner sings in choirs, but I also like what he did with Stravinsky's music, and Zappa's enormous sense of humour in general. I mean he clearly had a good fun all the time, and his music is very witty.
