Oh well. I blame only myself having you write more history of everything. Not that I don't enjoy it, as it is always very enjoyable reading. But I did say that thing about the Europeans having better taste than the Americans as a joke.
As for the other Tom Waits reference, as it happens, I've been listening to "Frank's Wild Years" today by a coincidence so I might correct the phrase to "innocent when you dream", unless he used that same phrase in some other song with the word "sleep" instead.
But, now I'm truly intrigued. You a fan of Frank Zappa? I've been a Zappa fanatic for only a year longer than a Tom Waits fan, and I've already been in a Zappa tribute band for almost two years. Strange.
Well... I wouldn't quite agree with your last statement, even though the jest is clear. Of course it's the two of yours' inside joke sort of thing, but I just want to say that even if you're not too far away in that idea, Lizzy and Darcy - to me, at least - are independent of a nationality, for they are only who recognize themselves to be similar. There cannot be many, though.
