Sylwia, if you refer to that passage in Emma when Mr. Knightley narrates to Emma what he overheard of Mr. Elton talking to the other gentlemen, this does not count. Second hand!
But if anyone can truly point out an instance of gentlemen’s dialogue, sans any lady present, in any of Jane Austen’s novel, well, let’s see... I shall “gift” such individual with the audiobook of Mansfield Park (via Apple’s iTunes Store), or any of the other Jane Austen audiobooks in the store.
