I'm up to chapter 18, and loving this story!!!
However, I don't think that the guys used
rifles for grouse hunting - had to be
shotguns, and to those who know, this
difference is a rather big deal.
But, I'm still loving this story and can't

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying it! We do strive to get it right in terms of the period language and for other technical things, but there are a few problems with it still. For example, Louise, our UK English beta had given us fixes for all of the chapters of S&S (edits we may have missed and words that didn't exist back then), but my computer hard drive crashed before I could make any of the changes and everything she sent was lost to me forever, completely unrecoverable. Sylwia still has copies somewhere, but she hasn't gotten around to sending them to me yet because, well, one thing always leads to another and we tend to forget to deal with it. Well, one day...
As to the rifle, we are clueless about such things since neither of us has ever hunted grouse, so we appreciate the feedback on that very much. I'll go in and make the changes on a file and then send it to Sylwia, who is the only one who can deal with making changes online because of where and how it's posted.
Sylwia also wanted me to tell you that she hasn't gotten around to making the link changes for comments to direct them to the 50 Miles site, but that she will soon. However, we'd love to hear any comments you might have as you read – be they fixes that need doing or just your impression as you go along. If you're familiar with us at all, then you know we don’t even mind if you yell at us in frustration or threaten to throw things, lol.
