I really don't see that Miss Griffith is a problem, since she is as young as Darcy's sister and for that reason alone he has no romantic interest in her. IMO, she's important only in that she reminds Darcy of what he liked in Lizzy (reminding him of Lizzy can only be good). (also she proves that Bingley isn't the only charming member of his family. LOL
