I am glad everyone is enjoying the story, it is such fun to write.
"D seems to be floundering quite a bit around E, and as aggravatingly arrogant as he can be, I'm still enjoying it! And is it wrong of me to enjoy when she shows him up? or at least proves his assumptions are off the mark?"
Fatima - He is arrogant. I'm glad you noticed, so does E and tends to let him have it. But at least he realized she misunderstands him a lot.
"They do seem to misunderstand each other at every turn, don't they? I don't know why, but it always surprises me when Elizabeth seems to consistantly assume the worst about Darcy and it was annoying to see that Darcy believes Elizabeth and Jane are about to 'entrap' him and Bingley. How so, Darcy? Elizabeth has clearly not been seeking your company. Think, man!"
Rita - Elizabeth is unconsciously entrapping Darcy, although I believe Jane and Bingley are very aware of their liking for each other - and we know how Darcy feels about that. E can't help it (and doesn't know it) that D likes her, so I guess he is mad at himself. That's why I always thought he went so hot and cold - asking her to dance then running away after the ball. Plus she thinks he is arrogant and stares at her to be mean. And don't forget where the story starts, Wickham has already told E how Darcy did him wrong, so she thinks D is a cad.
melda - I know it seems they left very quickly, but I didn't think they could very well stay that long-again. And yes, there will be more Mr. Collins and much more of Wickham.;D
Thanks again for reading.
