You simply must tell us about the Scottish festival where your husband works. We read a lot about the fairs then, but we’d love to know more. Do they really have the “bonniest knees” contest?
My DH is a professor at Lyon College, home of a world class pipe band and host of the Arkansas Scottish Festival. Yes, there is a bonniest (bonnie, not bone-y) knee contest along with the more traditional highland games. While blindfolded, ladies get to fondle the knees of kilted men and pick their favorite! I hope my DH will someday be brave enough to wear a kilt of his clan's tartan and that my kids take an interest in highland dance.
