I spent about 3 weeks there and didn�t find it annoying exactly. I did get annoyed with myself, however, because I couldn�t always understand what was being said, so I couldn�t always participate as much as I would have liked in some conversations. (Could that have been a part of why it sounded unpleasant after a bit? Since you didn't know what was being said? ) It�s a good thing that made-up sign language is mostly universal or I�d have been in trouble whenever Sylwia wasn�t around.
What really drove me crazy though, is that I couldn�t pronounce it! Boy did I make an effort. Sylwia can attest to the fact that I never was able to say anything correctly, except for two words, although I didn�t let it stop me from continuing to try, lol! Dobrze (meaning good or well) was the one word that plagued me the most, and therefore was the one I refused to give up on! One would think it was simple enough (dobb � jeh), yet I could not for the life of me say it right according to Sylwia�s ears. Yet she let me keep using it and even encouraged my efforts. Which was very kind of her considering that it must have hurt her ears very much!
