Thanks for spotting that! Actually the term "conscious" was quite known as it is today, but "subconscious" of course wasn't. We'll change it once Laura gets home.

However, I must explain something. We have rewritten the story somewhat since we started posting it. Namely the first three chapters where then consisting of letters only. We changed that and shortened them, and so now we have only two chapters there. That changed the whole counting. When Laura was asking the question she meant the chapter that is nr 12 now. We were suggested that during those group conversations that are described there the POV of characters was shifting too often, and we wondered if that was a singular view, or maybe a general inconvenience.
