Ahem. Normally a Lady doesn't introduce herself. But waiting for a common acquaintance to be introduced, no matter how anxious she is to have the gentleman introduced...er... I mean .. well, you know what I mean... 
Oh, well. As no acquaintance is around, (and I don't quite complaint, do you ?), let me, Mr.Darcy to introduce present myself.
But as I (almost like you) cannot be short in writting, be warned that this is to need some time...
I am a French citizen but born Romanian - it is not exactly a secret - but since Sylwia knew it, I have to tell you as well !
Was pretty good in school and liked chemistry - so I finished as a PhD in organic chemistry in a Research Unit. The problem with Chemistry school is that usually in a class you have 20 girls and only 4 boys ! 95% of the girls ended in Research Institutes - the one I was working in was a real 'obssesed with career spinster reserve'... 
Thought of course to single myself out - after all I DO like records - and by the age of 30 I was (yes, still spinster, don't ask!) already the manager of a drugs (medicaments) production unit !
In 2000, at the age of 33 (glorious age !) I got married - to a French I met (big surprise) on internet (and no, not on a 'meet single men' site). And since we talk records - who could beat this one ? I talked to my future husband for 3 months on the net and over the phone, then he came to Romania and 6 days after we had actually met (not virtually, but physically), I accepted his proposal.... !
So, now I live in France, near Paris, I have a 6 years old, Gabriel - but I won't start talking about him - I won't finish so soon with his antics . Suffice it to say, he knows YOU very well, Mr.Darcy !
And from the career woman I were, I am now, basically, what some would call 'a kept woman'... 
I have many interests, some passions and two obsessions: the footbal (yes, well, I know that you cannot yet know about it, but believe me, you would like it !) and Jane Austen (now, this is something you do know !). The football according to my father I have discovered when I was 12 months when after saying 'papa' I said 'Steaua' which is a football team my father, and subsequently myself, supported.
Jane Austen I discovered by reading P&P first when I was 12 (not months this time)... and well... falling in love with a certain gentleman...errr.....
Among the other interests: reading (almost anything, though lately I have a crush on David Lodge), travels, movies and linguistic (ethymology mostly).
And now to the secrets... do I have them ?
I am a cancer by zodiac sign - which means I am possesive and jealous and very susceptible - though I try to hide it...
And I like reading everything and everywhere - when I was 10 I started bringing books with me while being ...well, there where even the emperors get their bottom naked by themselves... if you take my meaning....
Of course, I gave up at this habit now - I am bringing in there my laptop !
Now, are we tolerablywell acquainted, Mr.Darcy, to ask a favour from you ?
